Cy Wakeman, Sioux City Native and dynamic international speaker, researcher, New York Times best selling author and trainer, will be in Siouxland on 8/25/2017 to talk about her new book, No Ego. The sesion will be held at the Marina Inn with registration beginning at 8:00 and the program from 8:30 - 11:30.

Cy proposes a different approach to core leadership philosophies such as engagement, change management, and accountability. Cy calls leadership to redefine HR and leadership and teach strategies and tool that will work in their modern workplace.

In this session, Cy will weave her research into a narrative that provides organizations with:

1. Research showing current strategic direction and foundational philosophies regarding change management, engagement, accountability and leadership development are flawed and causing waste in the workplace.
2. Modern approaches to engagement and change management strategies.
3. Case studies showcasing wins in organizations that have re-organized leadership and Learning and Development based upon Cy's new research.
4. Strategies for eradicating entitlement with tools such as the Engaged Action Planning and Negative Brainstorming which change the energy of group meetings from "Why we can't" to "How we could."
