Join us for the next installment of our Siouxland Series Luncheon as we explore today’s cybersecurity landscape and what businesses and organizations can do to protect themselves.
This panel discussion will bring together local leaders from the private sector, public sector and law enforcement to share what they are seeing across the region. Panelists will discuss emerging cyber threats, online scams, common vulnerabilities and the real-world impact these incidents can have on organizations and the people they serve.
The conversation will also address how businesses, schools, local governments and law enforcement can work together to strengthen Siouxland’s cyber resilience. Attendees will hear practical perspectives on preventing attacks, recognizing scams, preparing for an incident and responding when one occurs.
Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue. It affects operations, finances, employees, customers and public trust. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of today’s risks and practical steps they can take to protect themselves and their organizations.
All Siouxland Chamber members and their employees are invited.
Cost is $40/person (includes lunch). The registration deadline is Friday, October 23rd.

This home represents an important milestone in their continued commitment to providing specialized care, support, and a safe, comfortable home for individuals with significant medical needs.
The Turbes Medically Fragile Home is a newly constructed duplex that provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for eight Mid-Step Services members with significant medical needs. They are proud to expand their residential services in the Riverside community and look forward to celebrating this special milestone with their staff, members, families, and community partners.
Mid-Step Services is a nonprofit organization founded in 1977 that provides residential, vocational, educational, and recreational services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Serving more than 390 individuals throughout the Siouxland area, Mid-Step is dedicated to helping those we serve live meaningful, fulfilling, and independent lives. | Nov 17 Ribbon Cutting - Agape Community Services |
Join us as Agape Community Services celebrates the opening of their outpatient services.
(Sioux City, IA) - Agape Community Services is officially beginning to offer services to those struggling with substance use disorder here in Siouxland. After receiving their State license, Intensive Outpatient Services officially open on Monday, November 9.
While Agape’s facility is under construction, Outpatient Services will be held at nearby Peace Reformed Church - 4100 Outer Drive N in Sioux City. The beginning of services will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting in partnership with the Siouxland and South Sioux City Chambers of Commerce on Tuesday, November 17 at 11:00 AM.
The curriculum used for Agape’s program differs from other treatment options and includes principles such as the 8 attitudes to success, 5 rules to rational thinking, and examination of thinking errors. The goal is for participants, known at Agape as “Difference Makers,” to reach the root of what led them to their addiction and build for a sustainable future.
Agape Community Services is licensed to provide substance use disorder treatment services, and can accept both men and women into the program. Transportation will be provided from select locations.

The Outpatient Services join Agape’s Recovery Cafe small group circles for connection, which has been operating since the end of summer. Additionally, the organization will be launching a Fatherhood Program in November through a partnership with IA HHS. Agape Community Services exists to break cycles of addiction, incarceration, absenteeism, and generational trauma by restoring individuals to be healthy, leaders, and productive members of society. The project is the latest in a series of banking center builds and remodels the bank has completed in recent years, all of which reflect Great Southern’s continued commitment to its customers. Family Alliance for Veterans of America (FAVA)/WestCare-Iowa is dedicated to improving the lives of Veterans and their families throughout Northwest Iowa by providing essential resources, support, and connections to community services. Through the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant, FAVA/WestCare works to reach Veterans experiencing mental health challenges, social isolation, and other risk factors by providing outreach, peer support, suicide prevention services, and connections to appropriate resources, while the SSVF Grant focuses on preventing and ending Veteran homelessness through housing assistance, financial support, case management, and long-term housing stability. Together, these programs allow FAVA/WestCare-Iowa to address critical needs, strengthen community partnerships, expand outreach, and ensure Veterans and their families have the support necessary to build healthier, safer, and more stable futures. |
